A message from John:

Helping turn boats around in Chisholm

First proclaimed in 1948/49, the electorate of Chisholm was named after Caroline Chisholm (1808–77), a noted social worker and advocate of immigration to New South Wales.

But in 2013 job security, cost of living pressures and access to essential services are issues impacting local families. That’s why I’m proud to be part of the Federal Liberal team committed to turning back the boats.

Some people see this as a double standard since I came here as a refugee, but this is not true. I stand by the Liberal's policy of stopping the boats, but it doesn't go far enough. I'm going to stop the asylum seekers retrospectively and send back all past informal arrivals. I'm an example of an immigrant who came to Australia and took an Australian job, so now I'm asking you to elect me to take on a new Australian job (which will free up my old one). Obviously if my policy succeeds I'll have to leave the country so that will free up the job you elect me to as well! Vote me in to parliament, and vote me out of the country.

Tell me what you think of my policy

You could use my Facebook page to give feedback on my policy, but I won't pay any attention to you. I only read positive, affirming "Yes Man" correspondence. I have my minions delete all negative or critical comments.
